Umahani Abdulla
Umahani Abdulla is self-taught fashion illustrator, born July 29, in Ottawa, Ontario, to parents of Somali descent. Growing up in Ottawa she developed a passion for art and fashion at a young age.
In her early teens, Uma moved to Damascus, Syria where she later attended a prestigious fashion college program, while still attending high school. She moved back to Canada in 2006 where she attended the Ottawa School of Art and gained insight on abstract drawings.
Today, Uma currently resides in Ottawa, and is working on several fashion illustration projects whilst finishing her studies at Carleton University. In the near future she plans to pursue an influential career in fashion.
