James Smith


James Smith discovered his craft at an early age from his grandfather whom taught and inspired him to pursue art. 

Based in Adelaide, South Australia, James has been well known for the use of vibrant colour schemes producing unconventional artworks. His work has been heavily influenced by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Andy Warhol whilst also gains inspiration from various other art forms, nature and wildlife reflecting a modern urban style of art. 

James works typically with acrylics and oil stick on large scale surfaces. However, due to his diverse skill level he also creates similar work in digital form. 

He has participated in and held exhibitions including the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Festival. James has worked on various projects for clientele within Adelaide and Japan. He has painted murals for small business along with custom painted denim jackets for a vintage store.
