Pilar Maharbiz is an artist living in Córdoba, Argentina who works primarily as a freelance illustrator and ceramist.

She is currently completing her studies in Visual Arts at Córdoba’s National University. Her studies have included courses as well as seminars in embroidery, drawing, painting, serigraphy, and stamping. At the moment, Pilar is part of a team investigating heuristic procedures in craft practices of contemporary art.

Her work has been exhibited in individual and collective art shows, graphic art events and independent publications. Pilar recently created illustrations for a book that was just published - she is excited at opportunities to engage in more work of this type.

She dedicates time every day to explore a variety of materials and surfaces using techniques such as embroidery, painting, collage and drawing.
