Tahlia Jade Pearce       


Self-taught Australian artist Tahlia Pearce is a recent graduate of The University of Technology, Sydney. After receiving a Bachelor of Design in Animation, she is now currently completing her Honours Degree in Animation at UTS. 

Inspiration for Tahlia’s work is fed by her passion for K-pop and Japanese culture, such as Lolita, a fashion subculture originating in Japan that is highly influenced by Victorian and Edwardian children’s clothing. She is also inspired by the works of artists and animators such as Hayao Miyazaki, Makoto Shinkai, Takashi Murakami, James Jean, Kim Jungyoun and Mateusz Urbanowicz. 

Tahlia has participated in the Central Visions Gallery exhibition (2013), Beams Festival (2015), VIVID (2016), Drawn Volume.1 (2017), as well as range of additional self initiated projects.
