Norwegian illustrator and fine artist Morten Thyholt lives and works in Oslo, Norway.

Morten works with both drawings and Trompé-L´oeil oil paintings - a form of still life that means “to trick the eye”. The goal is to paint so realistic, that the artist creates the illusion of three-dimensional objects.

In his oil paintings, he uses various pop-cultural references and old photographs and letters. His drawings are primarily inspired by people and nature.

Thyholt has participated in art exhibitions in New York and London, and has had several solo shows for galleries in Norway with his illustrations. He is currently working on commissions for art collectors and illustration assignments.
