Diego Bao
Italian illustrator, Diego Bao was first exposed to the world of character design as a child via Japanese cartoons, the characters of Hanna-Barbera Productions and Walt Disney. As he developed as a creative, he began drawing inspiration from pop-culture, underground comics and street art. In particular, New York based artists Keith Haring was a great influence to Diego.
Diego recently founded his creative practice, Mocambo located in Venice, Italy. Here he produces a range of illustrated posters, stickers, graphics for apparel and skateboards, toy design, web comics and more for a growing list of reputable clients.
