Gabriella Szendrey (Bandaminta)

Gabriella Szendrey is a self-taught Hungarian illustrator and creative director, currently living and working in Budapest (or rambling and recharging somewhere in the surrounding forests with her dog). Bandaminta started out as a “just for fun art therapy” side gig featuring self initiated projects to learn through trial and error, experiment with new methods, both analogue and digital, that evolved into a one person art studio with a continually growing client base specialising in identity design and illustration.

“I am inspired by my journey through life, I am fascinated by the symbols of the collective human subconsciousness, fairy tales, the great outdoors, reading tons of books, bold colours and dark blackwork.”
