Joan Llopis Doménech
Joan Llopis Doménech is a Spanish illustrator who works with traditional techniques and media, emulating the aesthetic of old engravings.
“I studied Fine Arts in Valencia and completed my studies in Tallinn. I’m currently studying an Illustration Postgraduate Degree at The University of Edinburgh.
I have worked as a freelance illustrator since 2015. I work on a diverse range of projects producing artwork for bands, posters for concerts or scientific illustration.”
Joan finds inspiration in nature and nostalgic elements. She says, “I relate them to feelings of my personal experiences, imagination and dreams, which are depicted in my work through symbolism, visual metaphors and surreal worlds.”
