Marianella Arocha


Marianella Arocha was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1961. She studied at the Social Communication School, and in the Escuela de Historietas López y Allaco in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2016 she completed the program of Digital Drawing and Illustration at the Factory Arte School in Bilbao, Spain. 

Marianella is motivated by her entrepreneurial spirit and love for design and digital drawing. In 2008 this prompted her to launch her first line of calendars and agendas under the name of La Turula. Soon after she designed the special virgin collections label for a chocolate factory, ‘Chocolates El Rey’. 

During the opening of the annual Miami Art Week in 2006, she joined in a collaborative exhibition called ‘Stripes and Icons’ exhibiting their collective series of works ‘Playing with the Big Ones’ printed in acrylic and wood.
