Anna Carreón
Anna Carreón is a graphic designer and illustrator based in the United States. She received a Bachelor of Art in Studio Art from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri, and a certificate in Graphic Communications from St. Louis Community College.
Carreón draws inspiration from the allegorical portraiture of Frida Kahlo, the canon of Caldecott winners, interiors by Edward Hopper, her teachers, and the many artist friends she grew up with and made along the way. Watercolor and marker are her preferred media. Her work ranges from absurd conceptual drawings, folksy watercolors, to evocative landscapes and interiors. When she’s not making those, she’s creating clean contemporary graphic design and branding for the likes of her family’s catering company Elevada, Cuisine by Chef Tello.
