Bibela
Agnieszka Żylińska-Rękas, aka Bibela, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw with a master’s degree in Painting and from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology with a degree in Graphic Design.
Having this kind of diverse educational background and working as an Art Director on a daily basis, she mixes a vast variety of media in her illustrations using a wide array of tools. This can be observed in her works as an interesting combination of traditional techniques, such as pencil or watercolour, with contemporary graphic elements.
Bibela is deeply inspired by both the contemporary artists such as Yuschav Arly, Magdiel Lopez, Coco Escribano and the iconic Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele.
She lives and works in Warsaw, Poland.
