Josiah Almosara
Josiah Almosara is a vector illustrator and graphic designer residing in Alexandria, Virginia.
He received a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Auburn University located in Montgomery, Alabama.
After living in Japan for five years he draws inspiration from Japanese culture and his experiences abroad. Subjects such as the Koi Fish and Geisha are among his favourite to illustrate. His style is a combination of organic lines and the bold graphic nature of street art, another of his main influences.
He prefers to work with traditional pencil and paper which he then digitises using his Wacom Cintiq and Adobe Illustrator.
In 2017 Josiah established his apparel brand, Siah’s Original. The Siah’s Original line is designed and illustrated solely by Josiah and is steadily increasing in popularity.
