Juan Carlos Quesada Garrido

Juan Carlos’ relationship with art began with drawing comics. As a child his work won first prize in a number of competitions throughout his native Spain, including Madrid, Seville, Barcelona and Vizcaya. The resulting industry profile introduced him to important publishing houses of the time.

His later fascination with the Pin Up aesthetic inspired Juan Carlos to dedicate himself almost completely to developing this niche aesthetic.

To create his work, Juan Carlos draws in pencil followed by ink and then finishes his work digitally using the programs Corel Draw and Adobe Photoshop.

His Pin Up illustrations are published in numerous magazines and can also be found as part of advertising campaigns or exhibitions.

In 2017 Apache Libros, a Spanish publishing house, published 48 of his illustrations in an art book entitled Juan Carlos Quesada: Pin Ups
