Anna Carolina Sorgato
Anna Carolina Sorgato (Karumi Soroku) is an Italian, half Brazilian, illustrator and comic book artist based in Padua, Italy.
She graduated from the International School of Comics in 2015 majoring comic illustration and publication.
“My art is an unique mix of western and eastern comic drawing styles infused by the South American spirit. My work is inspired by manga and Japanese animated series and movies, especially the work of Studio Ghibli and the director Mamoru Hosoda. Disney and Pixar have also influenced my creativity.”
Carolina won the Weekly Shōnen Magazine Fan Art Contest based of ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ manga series, in 2014.
Currently, she’s collaborating on a range of projects with comic screenwriters in Italy.
