Sarah J. Coleman
An early pioneer of lettering and hand-drawn type, developing styles and approaches now ubiquitous in the creative industries, Sarah shared her inky processes with hundreds of students via workshops and lectures during the late 90s and noughties, known throughout as ‘The Lettering Girl’.
An energetic contributor to creative radio, podcasts and seminars, she’s based in the UK and continues to work with all major publishers worldwide, with a client list that includes myriad global agencies. She was the first person in 25 years to illustrate the cover of Playboy, and counts the 50th Anniversary Edition of Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird, its prequel Go Set A Watchman, and the 200th Anniversary Edition of Wuthering Heights as some of the highlights of a 25-year, 450-book career.
