Erica Tighe runs her design studio, Be A Heart, out of Los Angeles. After graduating with a degree in Sociology, she moved to Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. There she saw how beauty, in all of its forms, uniquely offered hope, healing and pure joy. Not only did beauty reach the children she lived with and cared for, but also her own heart.

Once back in the States, she taught herself modern calligraphy to pass the cold, dark winters of New York City. Eventually moving to LA, Erica became a full time designer. She loves all things done by hand and the tiny imperfections that it allows.

She is listed as one of Goop’s favourite calligraphers and is the author of ‘Written By Hand’ (2017). Erica works on product design, custom artwork, and full branding packages.
