Natasza Salanska
Polish graphic designer, product designer, illustrator and calligrapher Natasza Salanska currently resides in Barcelona, Spain. She has obtained a masters in Product Design from the Academy of Fine Arts, Cracow. Natasza has also studied art and design at various institutions across Szczecin, Torun, Cracow and Ljubljana.
“I was initially drawn to hand-lettering as a way to create with my hands. I wanted to move away from the mouse and keyboard and practice a tactile craft. I am fascinated by all letters and images around me. From bar and restaurant menus to the hand-styles of a graffiti artist on a train, and of course, the work of other artists and designers. Within my work, I largely use traditional based media and techniques, occasionally utilising creative software to assist with the designing of letterforms, or preparing finished artwork.”
Natasza has previously seen many years working within the fashion industry designing for household name brands such as Desigual. However, she now works for an ever-expanding, reputable list of both local and international clients from her Barcelona studio.
