Jacob Vélez G
Born in México, Jacob Vélez has spent most of his life in San Miguel de Allende.
His work is largely produced with digital media, but he also leverages traditional media such as pencil, acrylics and watercolor.
“I am influenced by artists such Gabriel M. Meave, Martin Schmetzer, Niels ‘Shoe’ Meulman, Luca Barcellona and many more.”
Influenced by hip-hop & graffiti, Jacob has been creating letterforms since he was 11 years old. Most of the skills he has acquired have been self-taught. Jacob’s work is the perfect blend of ‘street’ inspired design meets contemporary graphic design, presented in a professional and elegant manner.
