Justin Barreras
Justin Barreras is a graphic designer, street artist and muralist.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, he was influenced by graffiti and street art from an early age. A self taught artist, his passion for developing his skills turned his local neighbourhood into a canvas.
“While most kids took art classes, I was teaching myself design fundamentals as I went to extreme lengths to leave my mark. Even with a police officer father, I became obsessed with practicing my craft off the beaten path.”
Justin graduated from the University of San Francisco, California with a degree in Design and Advertising. Whilst studying he established his own freelance practice as a graphic designer and muralist.
Describing his creative process, Justin says, “My untraditional graffiti background combined with my formal education in design and advertising helps me create unique visual experiences.”
