“My name is YU-JIE, I was born in Taiwan and have committed to the Urban Sketch project since 2015.
I am an artist and landscape designer. Most of my sketches are made with traditional media such as watercolour or marker. After a busy at work, I like to slow my pace and interact with the world through sketching.
I enjoy documenting my travels through my sketches, as well as sketching with other artists. My paintings tell the history of my city, and story of this time and space. My emotions flow through my paintings.
I expect all artists to “sketchwalk”. This is sketching in their worlds, in their cities, in all the ordinary little corners. No matter if the subject is simple or not. Sketch anywhere you find the most beautiful scenery.”
