Ahlate Yan is a practicing illustrator and teacher currently living and working in Hong Kong.
In 2008, she published her first illustrated DIY book“自家宅” that she handmade and published herself. In 2013, the book was then printed and distributed by a publishing house with over 1,000 copies printed and distributed world wide.
Recently Ahlate cofounded an arts studio dedicated to teaching children to draw and encouraging the development of their creativity. She believes that children have unlimited creative potential and that it should be nurtured at an early age. Ahlate finds her students creative freedom an endless source of inspiration.
