Allison Rich

Allison is a visual artist based in Chicago. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Technical/Design Theatre from DeSales University in Pennsylvania. She began her artistic career as a scenic artist for theatrical productions, and worked for several years as an art instructor and freelance designer before finally finding her voice illustrating comics and children’s books. Allison has worked on numerous commissioned projects including storyboards, logos, t-shirts, portraits, paintings, and murals. She primarily works in ink, watercolour, and acrylic, as well as digital media. Using bold, dynamic lines influenced by the works of Quentin Blake and Bill Watterson, Allison specialises in subject matter emphasising the humour, heart, and humanity that lie beneath the landscape of day-to-day life.
