Bette Brain
Bette Brain is an Australian visual artist currently based in Whistler, Canada.
Her work takes on both figurative and abstract forms in a vibrant, stylised and illustrative manner. Exploring the reception of historical imprints of art nouveau, art deco and pop culture through a contemporary fine art lens. Utilising the combination of collage, analogue and digital media to produce imagery dynamic in colour, production and personal connection to the subject matter.
Bette, aka Elizabeth, is a 2015 Bachelor of Art (Fine) graduate, from RMIT University, Australia, where during her degree she was employed by RMIT:ART:INTERSECT within The School of Art sector of the university.
Bette is now employed as Assistant Art Director for The Adele Campbell Gallery in Whistler, British Columbia, whilst focusing on her visual arts practice.
