Sophie Davidson
Sophie Davidson was born on the 22nd March 1993. Living and working in Melbourne, Victoria Sophie attended Swinburne University and has an honours degree in Communication design. Sophie had here first solo exhibition running from September-December 2016 held at the Henley Club in Melbourne CBD. Otherwise, she has participated in several small shows such as the Brunswick street gallery small works. Sophie mainly works privately through commissions or when contacted directly.
Sophie works in mixed media always, and on paper. Rarely will you see her work on canvas unless asked to do so. Sophie is fascinated by the figure especially the human face. She likes to find expression and convey emotion through applying colour, shape and pattern. Most of her works are influenced by a particular song, even an illustration of how that song makes her feel and the story that it tells; music being her greatest form of inspiration.
